It’s not ‘Daydream’, Mariah Carey just released four Remix EPs

The EPs ‘Fantasy’, ‘Always Be My Baby’, ‘One Sweet Day’ and ‘Underneath the Stars’ are all from the “Daydream” era.

Another Friday (August 14), another clutch of Mariah Carey goodies. The singer dropped just four remix EPs from 1995 Day of the day era as part of the ongoing # MC30 celebration of their three decades in the game and the Lambily will not be disappointed.

The mini-albums include an 11-track “Fantasy” remix collection, which includes the ODB-blessed original, plus a “Bad Boy” mix, “Puffy’s Club” mix, as well as an 11-minute “Def Club “mix and a version” Live at Madison Square Garden “from the year of the album’s release.

You can also dig into the nine tracks in the “Always Be My Baby” collection, including a 10-minute “Always Club” recording by David Morales, the original featuring Da Brat and Xscape and a “Live at Madison Square Garden.”

Then there’s the four-track “One Sweet Day” EP, featuring a remix of “Chucky’s” of the song with Boyz II Men, two cappella versions and a live MSG recording. Finish things off with the three-track “Underneath the Stars” EP, with a remix “Drifting” minus the rap and a “Sweet” a cappella version.

Listen to the EPs, like a performance of “Open Arms” on Top of the Pops in 1996 below.
