Israel Adesanya ‘fight easier’ than Robert Whittaker

ABU DHABI – Darren Till thanked Israel Adesanya for her kind words after her UFC loss on ESPN 14 and said she hopes to fight the champion in the future.

Until he lost a unanimous decision to Robert Whittaker in Saturday’s main event, which took place at the Flash Forum on Yas Island. A win could have propelled Till into a title fight against the winner of the UFC 253 match between Adesanya and challenger Paulo Costa, but the opportunity slipped from his grasp.

Even though the fight was not until the end, Adesanya showered him with praise after the fight. Adesanya called him “beautiful” and said he was eager to fight even Till, and believed that the Brit would recover.

Till was informed of those comments during the post-fight press conference, and only seemed to motivate him to get that fight.

“I’m going to have to fire him for a while,” Till told reporters, including the MMA addict. “All I do is yell at him in Instagram messages. I have a lot of respect for Israel. I think it is a great fight. But you know what, this isn’t disrespectful to him, but I think it’s probably an easier fight for me than Rob because we’d probably have a surprisingly big battle.

“Rob is a little different because it confuses him. Israel is the champion, he is a great MMA fighter, but he is a pure striker. I think we would have a great fight. Rob mixed it up a bit. He is wild. … (Adesanya and I) are going to fight. I will come back, knock someone out and we will fight. ”

He even said his knee broke in the second round against Whittaker, and he is likely heading for surgery. That will mean free time for “The Gorilla,” but he said he feels emotionally good after the fight and is looking to come back stronger.
