Fall Guys came out on Steam and PS4 just a few days ago, and it’s already gotten a lot of attention, with over 2 million players on Steam alone. These players even received a free reward from the developer of the game Mediatonic as a thank you for its unexpected success. That has left many people wondering if the silly Battle Royale game will hit Switch or Xbox in the coming months.
A recent quote from Mediatonic suggests that Fall Guys may soon be coming to other platforms, but only if fans speak up. “For starters, Fall Guys will only be available on PS4 and Steam,” the developers wrote. “We would love to bring the game to other platforms below the line. Please let us know on Twitter and Discord which platforms you would like us to follow – we would love to see how much demand there is!”
According to several tweets of the developers, Mediatonic is working on the game’s ongoing server issues. They also aim to add some new modes to the game’s current pool of 25.
As a goofy, approachable adopter of the Battle Royale concept, Fall Guys has earned plaudits from fans and critics. In the review of GameSpot’s 7/10 Fall Guys, our critic Alessandro Barbosa called the game simple but enjoyable. “It can be disappointing to end a game too early because of unlike team matches and, even worse, if you are forced into one of the unsatisfactory finals of Fall Guys,” he wrote. “But not one is enough to consistently generate the fun Fall Guys, with its chaotic obstacle courses and earworm soundtrack and make sure you come back for more.”
