A woman died in a terrible accident involving a pedestrian, a car and a truck in Dublin.
The shocking incident occurred on Phibsborough Road around 1pm this afternoon.
The deceased, a pedestrian, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Those traveling in both the truck and the car were unharmed.
Currently, the road is closed pending a forensic investigation.
A garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí is currently at the scene of a fatal traffic collision involving a truck, a car and a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 1pm on Saturday August 29, 2020, on Phibsborough Road , Dublin 7.
“The pedestrian (age not confirmed at this time) was pronounced dead at the scene. The occupants of the truck and car were unharmed.
“The road is currently closed and forensic collision investigators are on site. There are local detours.

“Gardaí is asking for witnesses to this collision to come forward. Gardaí is also asking road users to be able to have camera footage (including the dash cam) traveling in the area at the time so that these images are available for Gardaí.
