YouTuber and father of two Mark Hoyle is the most unlikely pop star.
But the social media personality, who blogs under the name LadBaby, has landed a number one single at Christmas for the third year in a row.
The ‘blogger dad’ took the first festive spot with his new track Don’t Stop Me Eatin ‘, which riffs on the 1981 Journey track Don’t Stop Believin’.
Her song, which continues LadBaby’s theme of songs based on food puns, is raising money for the food bank charity Trussell Trust.
Last year, she topped the holiday list with I Love Sausage Rolls, a twist on Joan Jett’s I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll, fending off competition from Stormzy, Lewis Capaldi and Dua Lipa.
It followed their 2018 Christmas number one We Built This City, an ode to sausage rolls based on the ’80s glam-rock song by Starship.
Hoyle is a social media star who has translated his online success into sales.
The Nottingham-based graphic designer and lifestyle blogger found fame by documenting his journey from “boy to dad” after the birth of his two children with his wife Roxanne.
The 33-year-old, who lives in Hemel Hempstead, launched his YouTube channel in 2016 to document the pitfalls of fatherhood.
He has more than one million subscribers on his YouTube channel and almost five million followers on Facebook.
The Hoyles released a guide to saving money in 2018 called LadBaby: Parenting for £ 1… And Other Baby Budget Hacks.
The same year, the vlogger, known for his catchphrase “Yes, buddy!”, Won the famous father of the year award from Clas Ohlson, beating the Duke of Cambridge and former One Direction star Liam Payne.
