What would change under level 5? Full details after NPHET’s six-week lockdown notice

[ad_1]

Health officials have sent a letter to the government warning of a six-week level 5 lockdown.

It would be the highest level of closure according to the official Living with Covid roadmap.

The strict rules would see a ban on all gatherings organized indoors or outdoors, and advice against any form of social or family gatherings.

All bars, cafes and restaurants would be limited to takeout or delivery only, and people would ask to stay home and only leave for work or essential exercise within 5km.

Home visiting is already banned across the country, except for compassionate circumstances.

Gardai runs a Covid-19 checkpoint on the N2.

While Donegal, Cavan and Monaghan are currently under Level 4 restrictions, with the rest of Ireland at Level 3.
