Choice of the day
Raised by Wolves, 9:00 pm, Sky Atlantic and NOW TV
I caught the first episode of this show and it was really impressive.
It’s an epic sci-fi series from master storyteller and filmmaker, Ridley Scott, which initially centers on two androids tasked with raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet.
As the burgeoning colony of humans threatens to be torn apart by religious differences, the androids learn that controlling the beliefs of humans is a treacherous and difficult task.
The cast includes Amanda Collin (A Conspiracy of Faith), Abubakar Salim (Fortress), Winta McGrath (Aloft) and our very own Niamh Algar (Calm with Horses, The Virtues).

Family movie
The Santa Clause, 7.05pm, RTÉ One
I’ve often wondered if this actually happened, because it makes perfect sense.
Tim Allen is great in this festive movie as a divorced father who accidentally kills Santa Claus on Christmas Eve and is forced to deliver the presents himself.
The fun really begins when he finds himself gradually transforming into Saint Nick, which makes him popular with children, but his ex-wife, concerned about his mental condition and his influence on their son, doesn’t like him very much.
