Wembley Republic of Ireland’s friendly against England will be broadcast live on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player this Thursday.
Stephen Kenny will lead his team to the home of English football in search of his first win as a coach, in preparation for the Nations League games in Wales and at home to Bulgaria.
It will be Ireland’s first meeting with the Three Lions at Wembley since 2013, when Shane Long and Frank Lampard scored in a 1-1 draw, and their first meeting since 2015: a 0-0 draw at Aviva.
This will also be the first Ireland-England game to air on RTÉ television since the infamous 1995 game at Lansdowne Road.
Darragh Maloney will be joined in the studio by Richie Sadlier, with George Hamilton in the comments. The game starts at 8:00 p.m. and coverage begins on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 12.
There will be no fans present, due to continued coronavirus restrictions, so tune in this Thursday for free coverage of Gareth Southgate’s friendly glamor against the World Cup semifinalists.
