Gardai invaded one of the most popular shopping streets in the city center last night to disperse a large group of young people who had gathered in the area.
Officers were called into the Henry Street riots shortly before 8:30 p.m.
Footage from the incident shows several Gardai clearing the busy street as several people appear to flee the scene as other stunned shoppers watch.
At one point, a Garda can be heard yelling, “Everyone off the street,” while other Gardai speak to various young people.
Other Gardai can be seen leading people down the street and away from the scene.
A Garda spokesperson told Dublin Live that a 16-year-old boy was arrested during the riots.
He said: “At approximately 8.25pm Gardaí responded to reports of youth groups gathering in the Henry Street area.
“A 16-year-old boy was arrested for breaching the Public Order Law when the Gardaí dispersed the young people gathered in the street.”
