Video in which ‘7-year-olds’ allegedly try to attack Dubliners with wooden weapons and paddles

Here are the shocking images showing Dublin children “as young as seven” allegedly trying to attack petrified locals with wooden weapons and paddles.

Young people have been targeting downtown residents continuously “like clockwork” every night in a succession of serious threats.

Children are understood to steal pallets from a local industrial estate and antisocial behavior becomes more prominent in the run-up to Halloween.

In the images obtained by Dublin Live, young people can be seen throwing the lollipops at a local hurling insults at the individual.

More worryingly, one of the children can even be seen wielding a piece of wood from the pallet that looks like a baseball bat.

Residents along the street are subject to alleged attack attempts and a regular viewer of the incidents tells Dublin Live that it is only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured.

He said: “I have a good view from my balcony, we call the Gardai and they come and move them, but nothing else can be done because they are very young.”

“They steal wooden pallets from the Industrial Estate and even break pieces of wood from the pallets and wield them as weapons.”

The resident said that although there are some older leaders in the group, most of the terrorists are pre-teens.

He added: “It’s like clockwork, around 7: 30-8pm every night.

“They are more or less the same people, they are all children and there are always some older leaders, but most of them are between, I would say, between seven and maybe 12 years, if they are at all.”

Garda has issued warnings about the accumulation of potentially hazardous materials ahead of Halloween.

A spokesperson said: “We would like to encourage everyone to report any concerns to the local Garda station as soon as possible so that we can work with the local council to help clean up these materials and keep everyone safe this Halloween.”
