I’m a celebrity… Get me out of here! He is now in full swing on ITV, having been relocated from the Australian jungle to Gwrych Castle in Wales amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Among the 2020 lineup is TV host Vernon Kay, who is married to Strictly come dance co-host Tess Daly.
Kay, 46, began her modeling career before turning to television, hosting T4 on Channel 4 since 2000.
He is perhaps best known for his work at ITV, hosting shows like All Star Family Fortunes Y Beat the star.
Kay also has a cameo in the 2004 cult horror comedy. Shaun of the dead, and is seen performing on S4 as Shaun (Simon Pegg) flips through the TV channels during the zombie takeover.
Vernon hosted his own Radio 1 show between 2004 and 2012. From 2015 to 2017 he hosted another radio show on Radio X. More recently, Vernon has been hosting Formula E races.
During Tuesday night’s episode of I’m a celebrity, Kay will face the Bushtucker Frights of the Round Table trial with Jordan North and Beverley Callard.
Kay also wowed fans on Monday (November 16) by stripping for a steam shower in the castle bathroom. His fellow contestant, Radio 1 DJ Jordan North, had to run the water pump to get Kay to quickly wash off.
In a recent interview, the host revealed the heartwarming reason for joining the 2020 series of I’m a celebrity, which began Sunday night (November 15). “I’m doing it for my daughters Phoebe and Amber,” he said.
“It is a program that they watch regularly and they stand behind the people in the camp. I think the fact that you participate in it will make it even more fun for them! “
