Vernon Kay has been sending secret messages to his wife Tess Daly and their daughters since I’m a Celebrity camp.

Tess, his devoted wife, has recounted how her husband makes a sign to show that he is okay and that he thinks of them in I’m A Celeb.

Referring to the live test on Friday night, Tess said on Instagram: “It’s good to see that the novelty of live television has not disappeared for Vernon.

“Ant had to move him for the next live test. He touches his left ear as a signal to me.

“I’m delighted and the girls put on makeup.”

Vernon was also seen speaking the names of his daughters at the live trial on Friday.

She signed up for the show to please her two daughters Phoebe, 16, and Amber, 11.

Tess, who watched Saturday’s show backstage on Strictly Eating Pizza, added: “I loved Vernon waving to Phoebe & Amber! So sweet they loved it.

“He’s saying ‘Hi Amber, Hi Phoebe. It was their first time seeing each other.

“It’s been a bit late for Amber, but it’s Friday night, so they allowed her to get up?”

Vernon wears a giant horseshoe-shaped diamond ring at camp.

It’s a replica of an Elvis ring that Tess made for her on her wedding anniversary and she normally only wears it on “theme nights,” but it’s another symbol that her marriage is now rock solid.
