Emmerdale Fans know that Vanessa originally asked Charity how she would feel if she became Johnny’s guardian if she lost her fight against cancer.
But when a startled charity hesitated before responding, it forced Vanessa to rethink her decision.
Rhona agreed to be Johnny’s guardian if Vanessa didn’t survive, given that she told Charity about the plan.
As expected, Charity started and told Vanessa that it was clear that her “feelings don’t matter.”
Charity was furious: “What you think is what counts. You have made it crystal clear.”
And when Vanessa promised that she “loves” Charity, she replied, “Well, sometimes you have a fun way to show it.”
A series of tense discussions between Vanessa and Charity have recently left fans fearful that the couple is heading to Splitsville.
The couple had a raid on the chemotherapy room after Charity found her sitting with Kerry, who started the fire that killed Vanessa’s fire.
So Vanessa didn’t exactly help when she got tangled up in the city with Rhona and ended up fighting with a student in a bar.
Next week’s Emmerdale episodes will see Rhona bring in documents related to her custody of Johnny.
Charity can’t hide how hurt she is and ends up hitting Vanessa later.
A full row breaks out between the couple.
After apologizing, they both head to the hospital.
When they return, Vanessa reveals some good news.
Could they be making things better for the couple?
