NPHET has yet to make recommendations on specific restrictions for Limerick and Dublin.

At a press conference this morning, the government said that, as things stand, the restrictions will remain the same.

This comes after both counties saw big strides in confirmed cases in recent days.

Taoiseach Micheal Martin confirmed that next Tuesday is the date that the government will publish its general framework and the new plan on how to deal with Covid in the future.

The Tanaiste added: “There has been no recommendation from NPHET on restrictions for Dublin and Limerick at this time.”

Earlier today, Tanaiste Leo Varadkar said they might consider looking at the situation in places like Glasgow where restrictions on social gatherings have been introduced.
