TWO PEOPLE have been arrested as part of an investigation into an alleged fraud at a major Irish broadcaster.

At least one of the people involved is believed to work at the station.

It is believed that a significant amount of money was lost from the company over several years.

The missing money was noted when the employee was on leave and reported to management.

In a statement, Gardaí confirmed that the investigation of the complaint carried out by a media outlet is ongoing.

“Two people were arrested as part of the investigation. Since then they have been released without charge and now a file will be prepared for the Director of the Public Ministry, ”the statement said.
