US President Donald Trump has urged the American people not to be “afraid” of the coronavirus when he delivered a video message after his return to the White House from Walter Reed Medical Center.

Trump, who spent three nights at Walter Reed Medical Center for coronavirus, continues to be treated with a variety of medications, after testing positive for coronavirus last week, leading to his hospitalization.
About 210,000 Americans have died from Covid-19, while more than 7 million have been infected.
Trump returned to the White House shortly before 7 p.m. Monday night on Marine One. After landing, he walked to the Truman Gallery, removed his mask and waved at the helicopter. Soon after, Trump posted a dramatic 30-second video of his arrival, set to music, on his Twitter account.
Despite Trump’s optimistic assessment of his health, serious questions remain about his condition, particularly given his age and weight.
Before leaving Walter Reed Hospital Monday, the president’s doctors said the president was not yet “out of the woods.”

The official government advice is that anyone who has had close contact with someone infected with Covid-19 should self-quarantine for 14 days.

In her statement, Ms McEnany said she had tested positive on Monday morning but had no symptoms, adding that she had tested negative every day since Thursday.
