Donald Trump has faced mockery after his campaign held a press conference at a local garden center in Pennsylvania after previously appearing to claim that it would take place at a luxury hotel.
In a since deleted tweet, Trump had said there would be a “big press conference” at the “Four Seasons” on Saturday morning local time.
However, this was soon corrected, with the hotel itself tweeting: “To clarify, President Trump’s press conference will NOT be held at the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia.

“It will take place at Four Seasons Total Landscaping, unrelated to the hotel.”
Four Seasons Total Landscaping, on State Road, Philadelphia, is located next to Fantasy Island Adult Books and the Delaware Valley Cremation Center.
In a new post, Trump himself later confirmed that the conference would take place at the landscaping center, but ultimately it was his attorney Rudy Giuliani who spoke to reporters at the scene instead of the President of the United States.
Giuliani’s statement came after it was announced that Joe Biden was projected to win the US election and reiterated Trump’s calls for legal proceedings against alleged electoral fraud.
Many on social media compared the scene to the classic political comedy The Thick Of It.
Simon Blackwell, who helped write the hit show with Armando Iannucci, linked it to another of the couple’s political comedies, tweeting: “Veep is still available to stream and on DVD.”
Comedy writer Zack Bornstein tweeted: “I could write jokes for 800 years and I would never think of anything funnier than Trump reserving the Four Seasons for his big press, and it turns out to be the Four Seasons Total Landscaping parking lot between a consoling tent and a crematorium. .
“Also the turn that they announced that Biden won DURING the conference, and Rudy asked what channel called him, and the reporters said ‘Everyone.’
Another comedian, Christine Nangle, posted a video pretending to take the call by reserving the space outside the landscaper.
“No, we don’t have a podium, why would we have a podium? We have a rototiller, ”Ms. Nangle said in character. “I know it’s not the same, I’m just trying to match your energy.”
