Trump campaign files lawsuit for alleged Georgia fraud

President Donald Trump’s campaign says it has filed a lawsuit in Georgia state court seeking to invalidate the results of the presidential election there.

It is the latest in a series of legal challenges aimed at reversing his loss to President-elect Joe Biden.

In a statement, the Trump administration has said the lawsuit would include affidavits from Georgia residents alleging fraud.

The Trump camp has filed a plethora of lawsuits across the United States in a desperate attempt to turn their election defeat into a victory.

Almost all have been rejected by the courts.

Earlier this week, US Attorney General Bill Barr said the Justice Department had not found evidence of voter fraud significant enough to reverse the defeat of President Trump by Democrat Joe Biden in the election. November 3.

In response, Trump’s attorneys, Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis, said they would “continue our search for the truth through the court system and state legislatures.”
