Top six counties to emerge from lockdown when Ireland hits two-week mark

Ireland has been in a six-week level five lockdown for fifteen days, ending on December 1.

Health officials cautioned that an early exit is not likely as they want to make sure we push the daily case count as low as possible before the holiday season.

However, some concern has been raised about Dublin, as the capital is showing stubbornness in reducing virus levels.

The 14-day incidence rate of confirmed cases per 100,000 population is one of the key metrics experts use to determine the severity of Covid-19 outbreaks.
