Top 5 Battle Royale games to play while on lockdown

[ad_1]

Battle Royale games are all the rage everywhere. Something about the concept makes everyone lick their lips. Some like the chaos resulting from a hail of bullets, while others like to camp out in a secluded spot until most are buried in the ground. I play it to ward off loneliness; What better way to win the battle against loneliness than to jump onto a map with hundreds of others … and start killing them one by one? I think the domestic quarantine could be coming to me.

Battle Royale to fight your boredom

Jokes aside, you give Battle Royale titles a shot, and you just do it again. Most of us cannot wait to think about that first victory. However, once you do, you come back for more. Classifying yourself as the winner of a group of hundreds of players is, unsurprisingly, quite engaging and addictive.

Most of us are forced to remain indoors as humanity struggles against the COVID-19 pandemic. If you have not tried a title of this genre, now is a good time.

To help you, we decided to list our top 5 Battle Royale games here. If you have a problem with my list, I will accept a challenge from you on my favorite BR title. But wait, that will not work; I’ll be dead long before you find me on the map.

5. Cuisine Royale

Most of the games on this list are serious and carefully cultivated to make a strategic BR game. Cuisine Royale is all about fun. If you are looking for BR action but also pure fun and mayhem, look no further.

In most BR games there is an introductory phase where players jump off planes or something. You make plans with your squad about where you want to land on the map, where you will find the best loot and all those game plans. In Cuisine Royale, you just spawn on the ground, and all hell breaks loose instantly.

You can also use common household items to your advantage (and disadvantage). Hold a lit cigar in your mouth for a little extra health, but be careful as the smoke will give away your position to your enemies. Grab a pan that deflects bullets and also use it to hit players’ heads.

Okay, it’s a riot, and the best thing is, you don’t have to wait long to start a game. 30 players is enough for a game to start too.

4. Fortnite Battle Royale

It didn’t take long for Fortnite Battle Royale to become a modern icon. It blurred the lines between games and conventional entertainment. If PUBG was the pioneer of the BR genre, Fortnite took it to unprecedented heights. If popularity were the main metric on this list, Fortnite would easily rank high.

He took the basics of PUBG and made some quirky and innovative additions that simply catapulted him beyond his inspiration.

With construction mechanics, players can gather resources from the environment to allow them to build structures. You can build these structures to protect yourself, help your fallen comrades recover, gain a vantage point, or just build for fun! Not without its share of trouble in recent times, Epic Games has faced the ire of many of its fans.

however, it has also made great strides in the community to stay highly relevant in this fast-paced world.

Just take a look at Travis Scott’s recently concluded “Astronomical” virtual concert.

3. Legends of Apex

Respawn Entertainment, the developers who brought us Titanfall, left a big surprise for everyone when they released Apex Legends in 2019. A free Battle Royale title, it took a different route than most other previous games in the genre. AL features a gang of “Legends” with predetermined abilities that allow him to mingle and join forces with his other two squad mates (also featuring duets). Some really cool skills and characters keep your interest and determination.

Respawn keeps things fresh with the seasonal formula, bringing new content with each passing season. With new legends, content, cosmetics, backstories, Apex Legends certainly keeps you interested.

Try it out, it’s free and it’s worth your time.

2. Call of Duty Warzone

The most recent main entry in the genre, Warzone was an instant and massive hit. It earned over 50 million players in the first month of launch. In addition to dedicated and loyal CoD fans, it also attracted many others for what it offered – an arcade-style FPS Battle Royale.

The massive map and 150 player battlefield create a chaotic war zone. Managing a victory is an absolute dream that all players pursue, and it’s not an easy one. Infinity Ward’s inaugural adventure in the genre also has some unique features like Gulag and Bounty Contracts that just add to the fun.

Playing the game will be a chore if you don’t already have CoD Modern Warfare, as it will require up to 100GB of HDD without the main game. However, it is definitely worth it. You enter the war zone and you will be hooked before you know it.

Developers have struggled to meet the demands and expectations of their users at times, but one thing is for sure: They are listening and determined to do what they can to make the experience enjoyable. Unfortunately, for unskilled newbies like me, hackers are a big deal; and there is no shortage of Warzone.

1. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, or just PUBG, has to be in first place when you list the top 5 Battle Royale games. A game that is based more on a more realistic nature and mechanics than most of the others, forces squads to strategize and survive to the end. If you do, you get chicken dinner, and who doesn’t want that?

Unfortunately, an overwhelming influx of hackers and hassles has taken away the brilliance of the title. Developers have also been lax lately.

It is true that it is no longer the festival of joy that it was a while ago, but it is still the most influential title of the genre. Despite some of its more obvious problems, it is also ranked as one of the most popular BR titles.

But aside from the numbers, PUBG influenced an entire Battle Royale gaming industry even though it wasn’t really the first Battle Royale game. Arguably, he was the pioneer in what is now a billion dollar industry.

So there you have it, our list of the 5 best Battle Royale titles for you to enjoy during your stay at home. We have certainly lost titles that are among your favorites, but the large number of titles in this genre makes it impossible to cater to everyone. It does not mean that we would not love to hear from you and reconsider. Make a compelling enough argument and my editors will probably surprise me.

Until then, I will be knee deep in a war zone, fighting for that elusive inaugural victory.
