Sarah lavin he dropped six hundredths of a second off his PB as he ran a magnificent 8.03 to qualify for tomorrow’s 60-meter hurdles semifinals.
The Limerick woman was not bothered by a false start in her heat, as she came third behind reigning champion Nadine Visser of the Netherlands and Cynthia Sember of Great Britain.
Lavin (26) was already the second fastest Irish woman in the 60m hurdles (behind Derval O’Rourke) and has been running again from 12.30pm on Sunday.

In the 60 meters, former Commonwealth Games bronze medalist Leon reid He finished fifth in his heat in a time of 6.75, seven hundredths of a second slower than the second fastest Irish time he ran in Dublin two weeks ago.
