The husband of Tiger King star Joe Exotic has raised fears that their marriage will not last.
Dillon Passage made a troubling comment about how their relationship will survive during a live chat on This Morning today.
The couple married in 2017, just two months after Joe’s husband Travis Maldonado shot himself in the head in a tragic accident and died at Wynnewood’s Great Exotic Animal Park.
Speaking to Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, Dillon explained that he would stay by the side of Joe, 55.
But the 22-year-old explained that he would not abandon Joe until they “discovered” what is happening.
Dillon said, “I’ll stay by Joe’s side. He was there for me. I won’t leave him. He doesn’t deserve to be there that long.”
“I’ll stay by his side until we find out what’s going on.”
Dillon explained that Joe has an appeal close to his 22-year prison sentence and his family is trying to keep him “positive and optimistic.”
In having President Trump investigate the case, Dillon said: “It is a big problem for the president to address something like that.”
“Joe is a great supporter of Trump. When Joe heard that Trump was going to investigate him, he was very excited to see what might happen.”
Dillon claimed that the producers of Tiger King focused on the eccentric side of Joe and did not show that he is a “sweet, romantic and sensitive” guy behind the scenes.
Dillon was also asked how starting a relationship with Joe just two weeks after Travis’ death affected them both.
He said, “When I met Joe, I was in a really negative place in my own life. Joe kept me away from all the negatives and the people he was letting into my life.
“Joe was alone and he needed a partner. The initial relationship was a fellowship. He needed someone to be there for him. He needed someone to keep me away from the things I was doing.”
In the new episode of the Netflix series, The Tiger King and me, viewers discovered that Dillon had a fight with Jeff Lowe.
Former zoo manager John Reinke explained that he resigned after seeing Joe’s husband and his business partner have a fist fight.
He explained, “I quit the same day that Joe did. Joe and Dillon had a fist fight and started rolling in the parking lot for 15 minutes. So I made the decision to leave the same day.”
John also revealed that Joe started blowing up his cabin towards the end of his reign.
Admitting that he had threatened to hit Joe at times, he said: “The man did a lot of stupid things. Towards the end, he started exploding everything.
“I mean, hell, my golf cart exploded in my damn cabin. I hit the windshield of my golf cart, blew a hole in my cabin, blew up a window.”
