Three people rushed to the hospital and the road was closed after a car accident in Co Tipperary

Three people were hospitalized after a serious accident in Co Tipperary on Friday afternoon.

The multi-car collision occurred near Clonmel at 3:30 p.m. and emergency services closed the road for a time.

Those involved were treated at the scene and three were taken by ambulance to the hospital.

None of the injuries sustained are believed to be life threatening.

The road was reopened shortly after the accident.

A garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí attended the scene of a traffic collision involving four cars that occurred at approximately 3:30 pm on Friday, November 19, 2020, in Lisronagh, Clonmel, County Tipperary.

Several people were treated by ambulance at the scene and three people were taken to South Tipperary General Hospital with what were reported as non-life threatening injuries. “
