Three more children were rushed to Irish hospitals with coronavirus

Three more children have been hospitalized with coronavirus in Ireland, new figures show.

The latest update from the Health Protection Surveillance Center shows that three young people under the age of 14 were taken to the hospital with Covid-19.

Two of the children were between 5 and 14 years old, while one was less than 4 years old.

The incident was reported to HPSC on Monday of this week.

Health officials have not released the exact age, location or gender of the patients.

Nor is its current state known.

In total, 91 children under the age of 14 have been hospitalized with Covid-19 since the pandemic began here.

A boy under the age of four was brought to the ICU, and he was the youngest patient admitted to intensive care here.

Meanwhile, HPSC statistics also show that another person has died in Ireland after contracting Covid-19 abroad.

The sad death was reported to health officials last Tuesday.

It brings the total number of deaths from imported cases to seven since the start of the pandemic here.
