Gardaí believes only three coats were stolen during a robbery at high-end fashion retailer Canada Goose in central Dublin, despite reports suggesting the store was empty.

Glass was broken at the front door of the recently opened store on Grafton Street and an intruder entered the building during the incident around 4 a.m. Saturday.

The store, which opened in early December, is known for its expensive down parkas and jackets and fur trim, some of which carry price tags of more than 1,000 euros.

However, it is believed that only three coats, worth around € 500 each, were taken during the early morning shoot, while the rest of the stock rails were left untouched and the boxes remained intact.

Gardaí believes that whoever carried out the alleged robbery may have fled quickly once the alarm was sounded.

A Garda spokesperson confirmed it was investigating “a theft incident at a business premises on Grafton Street.”

“No arrests have been made at this time. Investigations are ongoing, ”he said.
