Manchester City scored three times in the final 10 minutes to beat the Wolves and secure their 21st consecutive win in all competitions.
The Premier League leaders were unexpectedly attacked by a Conor Coady draw after opening the scoring with an own goal by Leander Dendoncker at the Etihad Stadium.
Pep Guardiola’s team picked up the pace in the final stages and regained the lead when Gabriel Jesús shot home 10 minutes from time.
Riyad Mahrez added another in the last minute and Jesús put a shine on the scoreboard with a quarter with the last kick of the game.
The result extended City’s lead at the top of the table to 15 points and extended their extraordinary winning sequence, which is already a record for an English top flight team.
They are now just two away from equaling Bayern Munich’s record of 23 consecutive victories for a top flight of any of the European leagues recognized as ‘top five’ and six behind the Welsh team’s TNS world record.
It was a well-deserved victory, although the Wolves gave them a scare in the second half.

City had a chance to take the lead in just the second minute when Raheem Sterling passed on goal, but Rui Patricio was quick to quell his shot attempt.
As has become typical throughout their winning streak, City dominated possession and patiently sought to break through.
Kevin De Bruyne got his next shot with a shot that was deflected and it came as no surprise when the hosts took the lead in the 15th minute.
Rodri brought out most of the defense playing at Mahrez with a superb ball over the top and his cutout seemed to have presented Sterling with a tap-in.
It didn’t reach the England forward as Dendoncker made a desperate lunge to ward him off, but only managed to turn the ball into his own net.
Surprisingly, for all their dominance, City didn’t get another clear chance until shortly before the break, putting aside a wayward effort by De Bruyne.
City thought they had doubled their lead when Aymeric Laporte put the ball into the net in the last minute of the first half, but the flag was raised for offside.
The France defender had been in play when Mahrez threw the opening cross, but was deemed to have drifted slightly by the time Bernardo Silva threw the near post.
City looked to pick up the pace, with Silva forcing a save from Patricio with a header in the final action of the first half and De Bruyne testing it after the restart on a good cue from Sterling. Mahrez was the next to try his luck but again Patricio saved.
The value of those saves became apparent when Wolves snatched a draw against all expectations just after the hour.
Joao Moutinho hit a free kick in the area and City misunderstood the situation, allowing Coady to duck and guide a header just inside the post with his team’s first touch into the penalty area.
City were stunned and almost caught again when Adama Traore took aim twice but failed to hit the target.
City stepped forward again, with De Bruyne firing at Patricio and Sterling launching a narrowly deflected effort from a low ball into Mahrez’s area.
Sterling then made a very tight curl before the pressure finally paid off with 10 minutes remaining as the Wolves were unable to cut off a cross from Kyle Walker. Jesus turned and crashed into his house from twenty feet.
Mahrez secured the result in the final minute before Jesus dived for his second in injury time.
