Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he has been taking over the transfer market “day by day” and has not set a recruiting “target”.
So far, the Red Devils have brought in Donny van de Beek from Ajax in a deal worth around £ 40 million, which will enhance their already strong midfield department.
They have been strongly linked with several other players this summer, with Jadon Sancho being the highest profile, but the Man Utd boss admits that they are biding their time.

“We are always looking to see if there is any possible way to improve this team and bring in players who have the right level, quality, personality and fit all the criteria,” said Solskjaer. BBC Radio Five Live.
“This summer and year has been strange and it is very important that everyone understands that this has an effect on football. Not everyone can spend millions and millions.
“I never set a goal, like scoring 20 goals as a player. You just have to go day by day, making sure to develop and improve.
“We have a vision of where we want to go, but we know that many things can get in the way. I believe in watching the team and the club develop.
“We are developing a team, about a year after our rebuilding. We had to make some decisions last summer and throughout the season we have seen this team improve and get used to it.
“I’d rather be optimistic and wrong than pessimistic and right. I thought we would qualify for the Champions League, but I also expected a trophy along the way.
“It is never easy to have too many new players on the team, it takes time for the players to form a unit. We have seen some clubs go for a quick fix and some trust the process. We have to improve and obtain results but adding players with different qualities to those we have ”.
