You know you’ve made a world-class shot when Tiger Woods smiles and shakes his head in disbelief.
Shane Lowry never got a chance to play with the best in the game until he was paired with the reigning champion at Augusta this week.
And Offaly’s man had Woods and the commentators purring with a shot on the 14th hole.
Lowry fell short of the green at par four and was left in a treacherous position with the flagging today.
Others have tried and failed to get close from the same place with a putter today, but Lowry, known as one of the best chippers in the game, pulled out his lob wedge.
He threw so that he jumped a few times before grabbing onto the top of the climb and then the steep incline saw him fall to the bottom of the hole.
A lot of people already call it the tournament opportunity and you also got a nod of approval, Mr. Woods.
Lowry fought well to finish one under after 36 holes and make the cut in half and will be looking to move up the leaderboard tonight.
