Eight-year-old Saoirse Ruane from Kiltullagh, Co Galway, was an inspiration to all ages as she shared her story of losing her leg to a tumor – she started feeling ill on Toy Show night last year.
“I had to remove my leg,” Saoirse told Tubridy about her treatment. She then showed him her prosthetic leg which was decorated with a unicorn.
He told Ryan he had three dreams: to be at the Late Late Toy Show, to walk on Christmas Day, and to go on a family vacation.
With the Toy Show appearance in order, he then started walking around the studio marking the second dream and Toy Show and Aer Lingus were very happy to help with the third.
A trip to Disney World is on the line when the world returns to normal.
“This is a golden entry dream,” Tubridy told Saoirse as she announced the news that she was going to achieve her third dream.
Later, her mother joined Saoirse in telling about Saoirse’s fundraiser for charity, a story that inspired this year’s Late Toy Show Charity Drive.
