Sinead Kennedy is pregnant with her first child.
The RTE host posed for a photoshoot with Irish Country magazine in which she showed off her blooming belly.
The TV star has been keeping her pregnancy a secret for the past few months, which must not have been an easy feat while hosting the Today Show live since September.
Sinead is married to her husband Conor Kirwan, who works as a naval officer, and this baby will be the first.
The Cork native is used to spending time apart from her husband and last month admitted that she has been living for his WhatsApp calls during the pandemic.
“I hope I can see him at Christmas, but who knows what the restrictions will be? We are used to spending time apart; it’s normal for us with their work and sometimes mine, ”Sinead told the RTE Guide at the time.
“Our relationship has always been like this. I think in the 15 years that we have been together, I would say that we have lived together for two or three years at most.
“I think there is something about not having someone around all the time that makes you appreciate them even more. When the stage comes where we are both in the same place at the same time, for an extended period of time, it would be wonderful; we’ll get there eventually. “
Sinead has been a hit with Today’s viewers since joining the team earlier this year.
The Winning Streak host headlines the show with Daithi O’Se on Mondays and Tuesdays, while Maura Derrane comes on Wednesday through Friday.
RTE star Sinead is enjoying the new concert a lot, but said he has to adjust to share more of his personal life on air.
“For me, it’s been a long time since I’ve worked on something where you have the time to be yourself completely, if that makes sense. Because the program lasts two and a half hours, you can’t stop being yourself, ”he continued to the publication.
“With people like Winning Streak, that show is not about Marty or me [Whelan], it’s about the contestants. On Today, there are a lot more chances that people know you as a person.
“With me, what you see is what you get; I am the same on TV as outside of it, which can be a bit dangerous! But in the last ten years, I am much more reserved and I remember the first times I was on Today, Daithi mentioned Conor and I found that quite strange.
“I’m not used to talking about my private life live. That is a whole new world for me. “
