The RTE stars have apologized after attending a social gathering and posing for photos without face masks.

Miriam O’Callaghan, Bryan Dobson, David McCullagh and Jon Williams all smiled for photos at the farewell of Phil Collins, who was leaving the organization after 30 years.

All the stars and RTE have apologized for the “impromptu reunion,” reports the Irish Sun.

Several staff members attended the small party, with several major stars posing for photos without wearing face masks.

A spokesperson for RTE said: “RTE and those involved are sorry that this has occurred.

“During the last days, we remind all staff of their obligation to maintain the security of the site and themselves.”

RTE Morning Ireland presenter Mary Wilson said this morning that the RTÉ incident was “a good example” of the complacency that has been discussed recently.

HSE chief Paul Reid spoke on the show, but did not select the RTE group in particular, while claiming he was aware of many similar incidents in many places in Ireland.

Political correspondent Paul Cunningham and host Blathnaid Ni Chofaigh were also photographed at the meeting.

Photos from the event were posted in the RTE internal newsletter and the party took place on November 12, during Level Five.

The Irish Mirror has contacted RTE for comment.
