Rory McIlroy has confirmed that he plans to play in the next three PGA Tour tournaments when the season resumes next month.

“I am planning to play the first three events; Colonial, Hilton Head [RBC Heritage] and travelers and see where we go from there. I think it will be good to come back and play.

“Obviously we are going to have to take all possible precautions to be able to organize touring events again, but I think the PGA Tour has a very solid plan. If they can execute it the right way, I don’t see any reason why we can’t start 11th June “.
