Republic of Ireland Forward Callum robinson has completed a permanent move to West Brom from Sheffield United.

The Blades completed their fourth signing of the week after closing a deal for Baggies forward Oli Burke, with Robinson moving in the opposite direction, for an undisclosed fee, as part of the deal.

Robinson, 25, was loaned out to West Brom last January, scoring three goals for Slaven Bilic’s men as they secured promotion to the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Scottish international Burke has signed a three-year deal with Sheffield United, following Derby pair Jayden Bogle and Chelsea’s Max Lowe and Ethan Ampadu (on loan) who arrived on Monday.

Robinson told wba.co.uk: “I can’t wait to get going. The discussions took place over the summer, but these things take time. I am grateful that everything was completed and I am very happy to be with back here.

“I really enjoyed my assignment last season. The club is a fantastic place to be. It has a real family atmosphere. The players, the staff, the fans. Everyone.

“I was lucky enough to help Albion win promotion to the Premier League and I am very excited to have the opportunity to play for this club in the Premier League.”

Aston Villa has signed the Brentford forward Ollie watkins on a five-year contract.

The 24-year-old scored 26 goals when the Bees reached the final of the championship play-off last season.

Coach Dean Smith said: “Ollie has become one of the most sought-after forwards in the country and we are looking forward to seeing him show his great qualities in an Aston Villa jersey.”

Reports had suggested Villa was willing to pay a club record £ 28 million (€ 31 million), increasing to a potential £ 33 million (€ 36 million), for the forward.

The club had previously been linked to Callum Wilson, who instead joined Newcastle from Bournemouth.

Watkins, who previously played with Smith at Brentford, said: “I am very excited to join Aston Villa and meet Dean Smith as my head coach. I can’t wait to wear the famous claret and blue in the Premier League. I want to do something. special here and score some goals. “

Manchester City Women have announced the signing of the left-back from England Alex Greenwood on a three-year contract.

The 27-year-old comes to City after her contract with Lyon expired this summer.

The news comes a day after fellow Englishman Lucy Bronze rejoins City, also after leaving Lyon.

Greenwood spent a season with the French team, during which she won the Champions League plus the national league title and cup, having previously been captain of Manchester United.

He has played 46 times for England and was part of their careers leading to the semifinals of the last two World Cups and Euro 2017.
