River Boyne’s body recovered in Navan after searches for 18-year-old Jacinta Hand

The body of an 18-year-old girl was recovered tonight after extensive searches.

Earlier today, gardai issued a missing person appeal for young Jacinta Hand, who had been missing from Navan, Co Meath since Saturday.

Both his family and gardai had previously said that they were concerned for his well-being.

Sadly, gardai said the searches were halted after a body was recovered from the River Boyne in Navan tonight.

A garda spokesman said: “Following the recovery of a body from the Boyne River in Navan, Co. Meath, the search for the missing person for Jacinta Hand has been canceled.”
