Rebel Wilson’s personal trainer Jono Castano reveals the secret to his 20kg weight loss success – and it’s surprisingly simple

The personal trainer to the stars has guided the 40-year-old actress through her ‘healthy year’ during which she has lost approximately 20 kilos thus far.
On Monday, Jono revealed the simple secret at the heart of his training sessions with the actress: laughter.

To keep the star’s spirits high, the coach said he’s not a tough chore master and tries to make exercise fun.

Earlier this year, Jono appeared at Sunrise, where he led the hosts through Rebel’s workout routine.
He first demonstrated weighted bicep curls, before moving on to shoulder presses.
The former soccer player turned weight loss expert explained that he uses both exercises while training with Rebel.
Hard work: Jono recommended 45 minutes of exercise five days a week, combined with a healthy diet, to achieve weight loss.
Jono then demonstrated a series of overhead extensions, before moving onto the weighted planks, which he suggested doing with a bell on the back for 10 seconds.
“Exercise is just about getting the body moving,” he said, adding that he combines “resistance and cardio” when he trains with Rebel.
