Ravel Morrison has made no more than 30 appearances at a single club during his career.

Former Manchester United youth prospect Ravel Morrison says he is “upset” by comments from Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand that suggest he has wasted his potential.

Rooney said Morrison was better than Paul Pogba “by a country mile” when they ranged together at Old Trafford, and Sir Alex Ferguson described him as “the best boy I have ever seen,” according to Ferdinand.

Morrison, who made just three first-team appearances for United, is currently on loan at Middlesbrough for Sheffield United.

The 27-year-old has also represented teams like Lazio, Ostersunds, West Ham and QPR, but has never made more than 30 appearances for a single club during his career.

“Obviously these are surprising comments, especially from the player [Rooney] is; he’s probably one of the best out of England, if not the best, “said Morrison TalkSPORT when asked about the claim of the former United duo

“But it also bothers you a little bit, because I could have gone a little further, I should have gone a little further and I still hope to go further.”

“I knew I had skill, but I didn’t realize it and didn’t understand the thoughts of these players at the time.”

“If I could sit down and go back to my life, there would be many things that I would change.”

“It was a daily thing for me when I was young, growing up at United, it was a nice environment to come in every day with world class players, it was nice.”

“And I know he is poor, but because I was there since I was under 9, I would skip training some days. I would wake up and just skip, I don’t know why.”

Fernandes: I want to be like Iniesta, I am a warrior

Bruno Fernandes says his pointless approach makes him like a “warrior” and the Manchester United midfielder is determined to continue improving his game in the style of Barcelona legend Andrés Iniesta.

Fernandes has started running since coming to Old Trafford from Sporting Lisbon for £ 46.6 million in January and picked up the Premier League Player of the Month award for February.

The midfielder has recorded three goals and four assists in just nine appearances so far, but he believes his best attributes can still be improved.

Explaining to whom he models his game during a question and answer session with the official United website, Fernandes said: “The one I liked to watch and follow was Iniesta, because Iniesta is a mix between an 8 and a 10. It is a how can I do better, between eight and 10. “
