Profits from Suzanne Jackson’s Irish online sales business nearly tripled to € 1.64 million

PROFIT on an online sales business owned by Suzanne Jackson, the woman behind the fashion and lifestyle blog SoSueMe, almost tripled to 1.64 million euros in 2019.

In a record business period for the company Cohar Ltd, at the end of last December it had accumulated profits of 2.2 million euros.

Profits of 1.64 million euros during the nine months between the end of March 2019 and the end of December followed the profits of 582,559 euros the previous year.

The excellent 2019 for the company caused the amount of cash in the company to increase from € 697,886 to € 1.85 million.

Personnel expenses increased last year from € 40,616 to € 162,691.

Ms. Jackson, from Skerries in Dublin, is the founder and CEO of the best-selling beauty brand, SOSUbySJ.

Business remains strong despite the pandemic. On the SoSueMe Facebook page this week, Ms. Jackson thanked her followers for the high volume of orders on Black Friday.

The 36-year-old businesswoman created the SoSueMe blog in 2010 and is also a co-director of SanFran Cosmetics Limited alongside entrepreneur Fran O’Gorman.

Last year SanFran Cosmetics posted a profit of more than 3 million euros.

The strong increase in profits resulted in the SanFran company being left with accumulated profits of 4.917 million euros at the end of last year.

The record profit of 3,039 million euros registered in the business in the 12 months until the end of December follows the firm that registered profits of 902,760 euros in 2018.

Jackson and O’Gorman each own a 50% interest in the company that sells Jackson-brand palettes, eyelashes and other beauty products.

The company’s cash funds last year increased from € 607,836 to € 1.2 million.

SoSueMe’s Facebook page alone has over 325,000 followers, while Ms. Jackson’s Instagram account has over 284,000 followers.
