Prince William, Kate and their three children have appeared together on a red carpet for the first time.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge brought Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis to the London Palladium for a pantomime.
When they first arrived, seven-year-old George, five-year-old Charlotte, and two-year-old Louis stopped by to watch actors dressed as elves entertain event guests.
They watched the show, which was held as a thank you to the capital’s key workers and their families for their efforts during the coronavirus pandemic, from the royal box.
Before the performance of Pantoland starring Julian Clary and Elaine Paige, the children watched as their father gave a speech on stage, paying tribute to the actress. Dame Barbara Windsor, who died at 83.
The Duke described the Carry On and EastEnders star as a “giant of the entertainment world.”
He told the audience: “Before I continue, I want to pause and pay tribute to a true national treasure, Dame Barbara Windsor, who passed away so sadly last night.
“He was a giant in the entertainment world and, of course, a legend on pantomime stages across the country, including here at the London Palladium.
“And I know we will all miss her greatly.”
Earlier this week, the Duke and Duchess traveled 1,250 miles across the country, during a three-day tour on the royal train, to thank key and front-line workers for their help during the COVID-19 crisis. .
William told the crowd at the London Palladium: “We are here tonight for a very special performance. Special, thank you, the key workers here in the audience.
“They include community workers, volunteers, teachers, NHS personnel, representatives of the emergency services and military, researchers working on the vaccine, people who help the homeless, those who attend vital call centers and staff from a wide range of range of top-of-the-line charities, to name but a few.
“You’ve given your absolute all this year, and you’ve made remarkable sacrifices.”
