Premier League clubs are divided over the idea of ending the season by playing the remaining matches on neutral ground, according to reports.
Aston Villa has been out of action since early March, when the Premier League moved to suspend games due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Villa’s most recent clash was a 4-0 loss to Leicester City and Dean Smith’s team still has 10 games to play in their bid for survival.
Discussions continue about the possibility of resuming the season and the Mirror reports that the plans under consideration include playing games in neutral stadiums.

There are still 92 games to play, but this could happen in eight to ten places across the country, with neither side playing at home. But it seems that not all the clubs agree with the proposal.
The Mirror report says: “Some clubs are open to the idea, others are bitterly opposed and it is probably easy to understand why, as the top six have a lot of money to lose along with trophies and Champions League places.”
