Piers Morgan has revealed that Good Morning Britain will not appear on Monday morning after experiencing mild coronavirus symptoms.
The 55-year-old GMB host made the announcement on his Twitter after being advised to temporarily withdraw from the ITV program.
He wrote: “UPDATE: Out of medical advice, and out of caution for a mild symptom that arose in the past 48 hours, I tested for COVID-19 and will not be working on @GMB until the return result arrives, which should be tomorrow. ” [sic]

Piers was due to appear at GMB alongside co-host Susanna Reid on Monday morning.
The hosts have been abiding by the government’s social distancing guidelines by staying two meters away while appearing together in the ITV study.
Piers has been regularly scrutinizing the government for his reaction to the health crisis, and has encountered mixed reactions from his questioning of government officials on his show.
Journalist Piers, who recently criticized Victoria Beckham for placing her fashion staff on leave, was recently criticized by Lord Alan Sugar for his interview with Safeguard Minister Victoria Atkins on the show.
The GMB star was seen questioning Victoria about her lack of knowledge about the government’s pandemic crisis plan, Exercise Cygnus, when she appeared on the show on Tuesday, April 29.
When responding to a tweet about Piers’ interview with Victoria, 44, Lord Sugar said: “You are a total disgrace @piersmorgan. I don’t know who the hell you think you are in your tirade against the government.” [sic]
Then Alan led Piers’ mother, Gabrielle O’Meara, to the line while asking, “I wonder if Mrs. Morgan (your mother) is proud of you.” Need help. You are a bully. “
And Gabrielle leapt to her son’s defense when she responded to Lord Sugar with, “I am the proudest mom in the world.” The only journalist who does his job, as he will discover at the end of all this. “
Lord Sugar replied to Gabrielle as she wrote, “Well, Mrs. Morgan, you are the only one who will listen. He’s overreacted and needs a hard word from you to calm down. The point is, it’s blowing in the wind. The government ignores him. @piersmorgan “.
