AXED England stars Phil Foden and Mason Greenwood will miss FOUR upcoming internationals after being sent home in disgrace last night.
Manchester City star Foden, 20, also issued a humiliating apology for the “unacceptable” breach of Covid-19 rules when the duo met two girls at the team’s hotel in Iceland on Sunday night. .

The ‘naive’ couple, who debuted for the Three Lions in a 1-0 victory in Reykjavik 24 hours earlier, were fined 1,360 pounds each by local police.
The FA also launched an investigation and apologized to the Icelandic bosses.
The pair will miss tonight’s Nations League clash with Denmark and the Covidiots will also be sent off the England team for three games next month.
Foden and Greenwood were due to return to Manchester last night and both City and United are furious at the conduct of their stars.
One of the girls, model Nadia Sif Lindal Gunnarsdottir, 20, has revealed how she had been chatting with Greenwood prior to her trip to Iceland.
She and her 19-year-old cousin, Lara Clausen, visited the hotel on Sunday and told The Mail: “We met online. I was talking to Mason for a couple of days before they came to Iceland.
“They knew they had to quarantine themselves, but we thought that since they were playing Iceland, they had been tested before and it would be fine.”
Nadia added: “We haven’t spoken to them since. We don’t want to interrupt them because of course they are going through a lot right now. They have not contacted us.

Foden issued a humiliating apology on Twitter on Monday, saying: “I want to make a full apology. I apologize to Gareth Southgate, my teammates in England, the staff, the fans and also my club and my family.
“I am a young player with a lot to learn but I am aware of the enormous responsibility I have in representing Manchester City and England at this level.
“This time I made a bad decision and my behavior did not meet the standards expected of me.
“I will learn a valuable lesson from this error in judgment.”
Greenwood, 18, appeared to deactivate his Twitter account yesterday.
Foden and Greenwood now face the devastating prospect of jeopardizing their chances for Euro 2020.
It certainly looks like they will miss the October 8 friendly against Wales, followed by the Nations League clashes with Belgium and Denmark.
Chief Gareth Southgate, who prohibited players from having breakfast and training to protect his remaining 21-man team, said: “It is a very serious situation and we have acted as quickly as we could.

According to Icelandic sources, including the DV newspaper, the two girls posted photos of Greenwood and Foden on Snapchat.
In the video, a girl can be heard saying, “Casual Sunday here with *****. Was I booking a hotel to meet who?”

Greenwood and Foden flew together on a private flight back to Manchester after speaking to local police about the violation of Covid rules.
The couple were fined £ 1,300 by Icelandic authorities for violating quarantine rules.
Before returning home, Foden broke his silence with a statement on social media, while Greenwood has REMOVED your Twitter account.
Foden’s full statement read: “Following the story that has emerged today regarding my actions in Iceland, I want to make a full apology.
“I apologize to Gareth Southgate, my teammates in England, the staff, the fans and also my club and my family.
“When Gareth called me up for these games, my first reaction was one of immense pride.
“Putting on that senior team jersey on my England debut was an incredible privilege.
“I am a young player with a lot to learn, but I am aware of the enormous responsibility I have in representing Manchester City and England at this level.
“This time I made a bad decision and my behavior did not meet the standards expected of me.
“I violated the COVID-19 protocols in place to protect myself and my colleagues from England. As a consequence, I will now lose the opportunity to travel to Denmark with the team, and that hurts.
“I will learn a valuable lesson from this misjudgment and I wish Gareth and the team good luck this week.”
Both Man City and United have also condemned the actions of their respective players.
The England team was exempt from Iceland’s quarantine guidelines, but had to adhere to strict rules while in the country.
Gareth Southgate’s men were not allowed to meet anyone outside of their bubble.
According to the DV source, the players would not even have been allowed to see their families if they had traveled to the match.
The girls declined to comment on their evening with the England stars when asked by DV.
They said, “We don’t want to discuss this. We don’t want to get you in trouble.”
However, he claimed that he had been in contact with one of England’s stars for a few days.

Greenwood is believed to be single following his split from model Harriet Robson in April.
United’s statement confirmed that the club is in talks with the FA.
It said: “Manchester United are collaborating with the Football Association and are disappointed in Mason Greenwood’s actions on this situation.”
