Orange warnings like Storm Aiden to bring strong winds

A weather system associated with Storm Aiden is expected to bring strong winds and gusts of up to 130 km / h in some places, as Met Éireann issues a series of weather warnings.

A Status Orange wind advisory will go into effect at 5 a.m. for Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork, Kerry, and Waterford and will remain in effect until 10 a.m.

The winds associated with Storm Aiden will reach average speeds of 65 to 80 km / h, with severe and damaging gusts of 100 to 130 km / h.

A separate orange state wind warning for Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Sligo, and Clare will be in place from 8 am to 4 pm.

Meanwhile, a nationwide yellow state wind advisory will be in effect from 1 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow, with severe gusts possible in some areas.
