KIM Jong-un now has the world’s largest mobile nuclear missiles that it can wipe out any city in America and kill at least 1.5 million people in seconds, it is feared.
Experts believe that the “monster” intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) would be difficult to locate and destroy, and could fire decoys to circumvent missile defenses.
During celebrations for the 75th anniversary of the ruling Workers’ Party in the capital Pyongyang last night, Kim paraded the Hwasong-16 ballistic missile which was carried in an equally huge launch vehicle with 11 axes.
Xu Tianran, an analyst at the Open Nuclear Network, told Sun Online that the missile was larger than the DPRK’s previous ICBMs.
He said: “If this project is carried out, it would further increase the threat level for the United States.
“Yet it sends a strong political signal and reflects the leadership’s preference for an even bigger weapon.
“It could probably reach the entire United States with one very large, high-performance nuclear warhead, or two or more warheads if the warheads are smaller and lighter.”
According to North Korean analysts 38 North, the weapon was much larger than any weapon it has made in the past, including the smaller Hwasong-15, which was believed capable of reaching the west coast of the United States.
It read: “The new missile has been correctly characterized as the largest mobile ICBM in the world.
“But why would the North Koreans need or want such a large missile?
“An unexpected ‘super heavy’ ICBM would be … a statement of North Korea’s technical prowess, the robustness of its ability to threaten the United States, and the permanence of its nuclear weapons status.
“Another reason for having a higher payload capacity is the desire to carry more RV-like decoys to counterfeit American missile defenses.”
In terms of size, the weapon, a 26-meter tower, is second only to Russia’s Satan missile and five meters larger than the American Peacekeeper.
The clear message was that contrary to US claims, North Korea’s nuclear threat has not been resolved.

It is believed to be able to carry multiple warheads and is estimated to have a yield of over 2,000 megatons that could destroy any city in seconds.
But the fact that it is mobile would make it almost impossible to destroy it before launching it.
Markus Garlauskas, a former US intelligence officer for North Korea, told Reuters the missile would rule out any remaining doubts that Pyongyang could attack the United States.
He said, “If the Hwasong-15 could carry a ‘super-large’ nuclear warhead anywhere in the US, then the natural question is what can this larger missile carry?”
Bruce Klingner, a retired North Korea CIA analyst who now works at the Heritage Foundation, said: “The clear message was that, contrary to US claims, North Korea’s nuclear threat has not been resolved. “.
Michael Elleman, director of Nuclear Policy and Non-Proliferation at the International Institute for Strategic Studies, calculated that the new large missile could launch between 2000 and 3500 kg “to any point of CONUS (US territory)”, which makes it more capable than the Soviet missiles.
In a speech, Kim said: “We will continue to build our national defense power and self-defense war deterrence.
“I am ashamed that I could not properly reward him for his enormous confidence.
“My efforts and devotion were not enough to lift our people out of difficult livelihoods.”
Also on display was what appeared to be a new submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM).
Kim said the missiles were not aimed at any particular country.
But he added: “If any force damages the security of our nation, we will fully mobilize the strongest offensive power in a preventive manner to punish them.”
In February 2019, Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un met in Hanoi, Vietnam, to discuss denuclearization following talks in Singapore the previous year. Nothing was accomplished.
Trump is reportedly furious at North Korea’s military parade and at Kim for unveiling the new nuclear missile when it was supposed to move toward disarmament.
Hours after the event, reports claimed that the president is “really angry” about the event in Pyongyang, where the country revealed the newest weapons in its arsenal.
A source familiar with the situation said Vox that Trump is “really disappointed” in Kim Jong-un and expressed his dismay to various White House officials.
South Korea’s Yonhap News reported on Saturday that the United States is in talks with Asian allies to investigate the military procession.
