And Neville chose the size of Solskjaer’s squad and the entertaining football United plays among the five reasons he thinks they can face Liverpool in the title race.
Neville said Amazon Prime Video: “I think they can [challenge Liverpool].
“I think what you have to do when you are looking at a title race is to look at the competition.
“Liverpool are in front and rightly so, I think they are the best team in the country.
“But there is no other team that is really willing to challenge Liverpool.
“Chelsea have been wrong, Tottenham have been wrong recently, Everton is up there and they are in very good shape. Other than that, Manchester City is climbing.
“United are in this title race if they maintain this level of performance.
“They are playing better football, they are entertaining, they are starting to win at home. They have a great squad, they are scoring goals ”.
