Munster’s team has been named to Sunday’s Round 6 Guinness PRO14 match against Ospreys at Thomond Park (2.45pm – live on eir Sport, TG4 and S4C).
There are five changes to the side that defeated Dragons in Rodney Parade and Munster’s side missed Round 5 action due to the game against Benetton being postponed.
Accessories James Cronin and Stephen Archer kick off this week by joining Kevin O’Byrne in the front row.
Fineen Wycherley takes his place alongside Jean Kleyn in the second row with Tommy O’Donnell entering the open side as Jack O’Donoghue and Gavin Coombes complete the last row.
O’Donoghue captains the team for his fifth straight outing.
The only personnel change at the bottom line is Mike Haley starting as a winger. With Haley’s return, Matt Gallagher makes the switch to wing with Darren Sweetnam covering the opposite flank.
It’s as it was for Craig Casey and JJ Hanrahan’s mid-back pairing with Damian de Allende and Rory Scannell continuing their center-back partnership.
Returning from international camp is John Ryan, who is named among the replacements, and Dan Goggin is also in line to appear after returning from a shoulder injury.
Before the start of Sunday’s game, both sides will line up for a moment of silence to mark the recent passing of our friend and colleague John O’Neill, RIP.
