A garda spokesperson said: “Gardai is investigating a fatal single vehicle traffic collision involving a motorcycle that occurred at approximately 1:20 am on Tuesday 2 April 2020, on Kilshane Road in Finglas, Dublin 11 .

“The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

“An autopsy will be done at a later date.

“A technical examination of the scene has been carried out.

“Gardaí is asking witnesses to this collision to come forward and is also asking road users who may have images from the camera (including the dash cam) and who were traveling in the area at this time so that these images are available for Gardaí.

LIMERICK CRASH

Meanwhile, gardai is also investigating after a woman died in an accident in Limerick.

The accident occurred on the N21 at Kilgobbin, Adare, around 3pm.

The collision involved a car and a jeep.

A Garda spokesperson said: “The driver of the car, a woman in her 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The driver of the jeep, a woman in her 40s, was taken to Limerick University Hospital with serious injuries.

“A technical examination of the scene has been completed.
