REVENUE OFFICIALS HAVE seized drugs worth more than € 141,000 in two separate operations at Athlone and Dublin Mail Centers.

As a result of today’s routine operations, Dublin Revenue officials discovered over 4kg of cannabis and 27 grams of cannabis oil and butane honey oil products in packages originating from the USA, Canada and Spain.

The parcels, destined for various addresses throughout the country, were declared as items such as art supplies, coffee pods, action figures and toys. Revenues estimate that the drugs have a combined value of nearly € 88,200.

In a separate operation on Monday, Treasury officials at the Athlone mail center seized nearly 7kg of drugs and psychoactive substances including herbal cannabis, cannabis resin, hash cakes, benzodiazepines, and infused jellies and chocolates. of cannabis.

The packages, which originated in the UK, were declared as items such as hair bows, football souvenirs and photos. The drugs have a combined estimated value of more than € 53,500.
