Mickey Harte confirms the end of Tyrone’s term

Mickey Harte has ended his involvement with Tyrone soccer after 18 years managing the senior team, during which time he brought Red Hand County three Irish titles and six Ulster championships.

Harte was seeking a senior year, but his application was rejected on the grounds that the clubs would have to vote on the ruling.

However, the Errigal Ciarán clubman has no grudge against the process or the people who did it, stating: “I respect the outcome of these meetings and it is time to reflect on what happened and let the present unfold.”

“I always say that I feel privileged to have been the coach of any Tyrone team. Going through the minors, the under 21s, and the seniors for so long is an absolute privilege and I would never look at it any other way.

“This is how I leave things, I have the privilege that I have been given the opportunities that have been given me and I did the best I could every year that I was there.”
