Forecaster Met Éireann has issued a cool weather warning as winds from Storm Bella continue to howl across the island.
The state yellow wind advisory for five counties is currently in effect and will last until 7 a.m. Tuesday.
Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Kerry are affected by the advisory, which continues on an earlier wind advisory for the same area that passed at 2 p.m. Monday.
The forecaster said the northwesterly winds will reach speeds of 50 to 65 kilometers per hour, with gusts of 90 to 110 kilometers, during the rest of the day and at night.

It comes as a status yellow gale warning has also been issued for Irish coastal waters.
Met Éireann said the north-west to north winds will reach a force 8 gale or a strong force 9 gale on Monday, continuing tonight over coastal waters from Howth Head to Valentia to Fair Head and into the Irish Sea south of Anglesey. .

Thousands remain without electricity amid the yellow state …
Earlier Monday, more than 4,500 homes and businesses across the country were without power as a result of the winds associated with Storm Bella.
The worst affected areas were Kerry, Limerick, Galway, Mayo and Cork, with more than 1,400 establishments affected in Bantry, Co Cork.
ESB Networks expected to have restored power in most areas this afternoon.
