Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes his players ‘cannot feel sorry for themselves’ 3-2 defeat at the hands of RB Leipzig.
The defeat in Germany means they were unable to qualify from Group H of the competition.
Angelino, on loan from Manchester City, put Leipzig ahead in the second minute with a brilliant first half.

Amadou Haidara doubled the home side’s lead in the 13th minute when Man Utd couldn’t keep up with the game.
Angelino got involved again, crossing the ball to find Haidara at the back post.
Justin Kluivert made three in the second half after a poor defense by the Red Devils. David De Gea was unable to claim the ball in the area, while Kluivert appeared behind two defenders.
Kluivert finished off a point-blank opportunity for everyone, but secured qualification for Leipzig.
Bruno Fernandes started the last ten minutes with a penalty for United. He used his typical jumping technique to score on former Liverpool goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi.
A deep corner from Fernandes in the 82nd minute was greeted by substitute Paul Pogba. The Frenchman climbed higher, his header aided by Harry Maguire.
However, Man Utd had left it too late and will now compete in the Europa League.
Speaking after the result, Solskjaer said: “We started too late. Great spirit and back again. It’s different from the Premier League, you can’t give a team a three-goal lead and expect it to come back.
“We were unlucky towards the end and you almost thought it was there at the last minute.
“Of course you can’t say we were good enough, we weren’t. In a difficult group, of course, the big loss for us was in Istanbul, that’s where we lost the points that we should have had.
“Today we were close but we knew we had to defend crosses and balls in the area and we just couldn’t clear them.
“As a footballer you cannot feel sorry for yourself. You feel sorry for a few minutes tonight and then we focus on a massive game on Saturday. “
When asked about Pogba’s future at Old Trafford, he said: “You have to ask Paul if he’s happy or not, I won’t speak for him. He’s working hard in training and needs to focus on his performances. Now is not the time to discuss transfers. “
